Tom has broad experience in the law practice. He has been involved on both the plaintiff's and defense side in civil litigation. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts.  The civil cases Tom has handled are diverse both legally and factually. As a result of many years representing clients in the railroad industry, Tom has developed a breadth and depth of knowledge about railroad operations, rules and practices.

Tom has a special understanding of the medical issues involved in repetitive trauma, carpal tunnel, and toxic tort Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) cases. He has significant experience in handling matters before regulatory agencies such as the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Tom has participated in labor negotiations at the national level between management and labor under the Railway Labor Act (RLA). At Boyle Brasher LLC he is respected for his attention to detail and keeping his clients well informed on developments in their cases.

Tom is the number one soccer fan in the firm. His soccer loyalties range from the team representing his law school alma mater, the St. Louis University Billikens, to Manchester United of the English Premier League. Tom is well known for his Irish soda bread and flying a large flag of Ireland across his office window on St. Patrick's Day. Tom and his family reside in suburban St. Louis.
